Leeds Global Industry Programme How it works
The Leeds Global Industry Programme is conducted online by Practera.
The programme is designed to work alongside your studies and other commitments.
After registering, you’ll be onboarded to the online platform, where you’ll be assigned to a project, receive your brief and meet your client.
We will consider your project preferences where possible. We ensure clients submit projects that are interesting and achievable within the programme timeframe.
You’ll be allocated a team of five to eight other students from the University of Leeds. Together, you’ll research and work on the project brief over two weeks (approximately 25 hours) and submit a final report to your client. During those two weeks, you decide when you wish to work on your report and schedule meetings with your team and partners to suit you.
You’ll be involved with:
- goal setting
- orientation workshop
- project briefing workshop
- self-directed team meetings
- self-assessment and peer-assessment within your team
- feedback from your industry client and AI
- coaching calls.

The programme was a genuinely valuable experience that helped me grow both personally and professionally. Working on a real-world project gave me a clearer understanding of what employers look for and helped me build confidence in my skills. It wasn’t just about completing tasks, it was about learning how to adapt, communicate effectively and think critically in a team setting. The guidance and feedback I received throughout made a real difference.
It’s really a first-hand experience into the professional world, I also got to discover a completely new industry to me, you learn a lot while you enhance or develop business skills.
