Leeds Global Industry Programme Overview
The Leeds Global Industry Programme is available to taught postgraduate students. It is an industry consulting experience with real clients, helping to develop your skills and prepare you for future employment.
The programme is guaranteed for all on-campus taught postgraduate students (UK and international), except students on the Leeds MBA course and students in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS), which has its own embedded virtual work experience (EPS students only). Please note, if you are currently enrolled on a Masters course, you will be able to take part until July 2026.
The programme offers:
- collaborative work in a multi-disciplinary team (small groups of five to eight students) in a supportive virtual environment
- innovative projects that address genuine industry needs and real-world challenges, such as social impact, sustainability, policy, international business and more
- clients in the UK and overseas
- professional support and feedback
- proven development of skills that employers are looking for
- opportunities to build professional networks, make new friends, build confidence and consider your future plans.

No matter your degree this experience will be transferable to a wide range of career paths. The University can support you to communicate and further develop these key skills.
All of the projects available on the programme can be tackled by students from any degree subject, as the key learning is about developing valuable core work ready skills that employers look for , such as:
