Module Enrolment for Incoming Study Abroad students
As an Incoming Study Abroad student, your original module choices are submitted to the Incoming Study Abroad Team. Change requests should be submitted to the teaching school.
Preparing for module enrolment
Planning for module enrolment can make the process smoother and help you get the modules you want for next year. Follow our steps to help you prepare.
How to enrol on your modules
If you are studying on a programme which requires you to choose optional or discovery modules, you will complete this first-come, first-served process online through Student Services unless your School has opted out – see enrolment dates for details.
When to enrol on your modules
Module enrolment takes place during specific dates, depending on your level of study. When you enrol on a module, it automatically feeds through to Minerva overnight.
Modules and programmes explained
Every programme of study is made up of modules which can be either compulsory, optional or discovery modules. All modules have a credit value, and you will need to complete sufficient credits to progress through your programme.
As well as the compulsory and optional modules that make up your programme of study, you may be able to choose something different to your main subject as a Discovery Module.
Contact your school during Module Enrolment
If you need to contact a school regarding module enrolment, find their details in the list below. Remember to include your student ID number in all correspondence and to use your University email address rather than a personal one.
Change of module
Once you have started your studies, you may decide you wish to change one or more of the modules you've registered for and there is a process to do this.
Module enrolment for PGRs
As a postgraduate researcher, you can study taught modules in addition to your research if they are useful for your training and are approved by your supervisor.
If you didn't get your first choice in module enrolment
Most of the time, you're able to get your first choice when you're choosing your modules. However sometimes the modules you want may be full.
