What to do if you experience IT issues during your assessment
If your IT equipment breaks during your assessment
You are responsible for making sure you have the right IT equipment for your assessments if you are taking assessments at home.
If you do not have access to IT equipment for your assessment
Contact the Student Support Team for your school if you do not have the facilities to take your assessment at home.
Problems with IT systems during your assessment
Check the IT Service Status page if you are unable to access IT systems during your assessment to see if the issue is a university-wide problem.
Visit IT Self Service for self-help tips and information, to let the IT team know that something is broken, or to request equipment or software.
If you are unable to access Minerva
Find out what to do if Minerva isn’t working.
If your internet stops working during an online time limited assessment
If you experience technical difficulties during an online time limited assessment, you should contact your school as soon as possible to make them aware of this.
You will have been provided with details of how to contact your school for support during your assessment.
Please note that IT issues are not normally accepted as Mitigating Circumstances.
Get assessment advice and support
Email the Assessment and Progress team via examinations@leeds.ac.uk if you have any questions about assessments.
Make sure your email includes your:
- name
- student identification number
- programme of study, if applicable to your question
- module codes
- module titles.
Advice and support from the Student Information Service
If you have a question or need support, contact the friendly team in the Student Information Service (SIS).
They can answer a wide range of questions. If they don’t have the answer, or if you need support from a specialist team, they will put you in touch with the right people.
