Understand academic integrity
Integrity is one of the University’s defining values. This means we share a commitment to openness and honesty in our words and actions.
Approaching our academic studies and research with integrity is vital to ensure that we each receive the credit we deserve for our work. It helps us preserve the University’s academic reputation and the worth of your degree.
The University will work with you to help you develop the understanding and skills needed to maintain the academic integrity of your work.
In return, we require you to take responsibility for your work and ensure it always meets the University’s standards for academic integrity.
The University has a responsibility to support all its members in doing the right thing, and to ensure nobody gains an unfair advantage in any assessment. We always investigate cases of suspected academic misconduct and will take appropriate action against anyone who breaches our integrity standards.
For more information see the Academic Misconduct procedure available on the Student cases page.
