Extending your visa in the UK
If you currently have a Tier 4 student visa and need more time in the UK as a student, then you may be able to make an immigration application within the UK.

ATAS - Academic Technology Approval Scheme
If you're planning to undertake a postgraduate course and are from outside the European Economic Area you may need an ATAS certificate. Please note that from 6 July 2018 the ATAS condition will apply to courses with a duration of less than six months alongside courses over six months.

Collecting your Biometric Residence Permit
If you have a Tier 4 (General) student visa or a Short Term Study Visa and are attending a course for six months or longer, youll need to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) when you arrive in Leeds.

Work placements and extending your Tier 4 visa
