Get a replacement degree certificate or certified copies

Anyone who is a graduate of the University of Leeds or its affiliated colleges can request a replacement degree certificate. You can also request certified certificate copies.

Get a replacement degree certificate

You can get a replacement degree certificate when you’ve lost your original certificate.

We print replacement degree certificates on current certificate paper.

Your certificate will show the same award information as your original:

your name
your programme of study
your classification
the award date.

If you need a breakdown of your marks and modules, you can apply for a transcript.

All graduates can apply and pay for a replacement certificate online (except graduates from Leeds Trinity).

Delivery of your replacement certificate

We will send your certificate by second-class post if you provide an address in the UK. You can choose to pay extra for DHL delivery, which is trackable.

If you would like us to send your certificate to an address outside the UK, you will need to choose DHL courier delivery (tracked).

Get a certified copy of your degree certificate

You will need your original degree certificate to get a certified copy.

If you lost your certificate, you’ll need to request a replacement before you can get a certified copy.

We cannot certify transcripts of your modules and marks, but you can apply for a copy of your transcript.

Delivery of your certified copy

Within 14 days of paying you'll need to email a scan or photo of your original certificate. If we don’t receive your copy within 14 days, we will cancel your request and refund your fee.

We’ll stamp your copy and send it back within 10 working days.You can choose to receive a digital copy, or a hard copy in the post.
