Get a replacement degree certificate or certified copies

Anyone who is a graduate of the University of Leeds or its affiliated colleges can request a replacement degree certificate. You can also request certified certificate copies.

Get a replacement degree certificate

You can get a replacement degree certificate when you’ve lost your original certificate.

We print replacement degree certificates on current certificate paper.

Your certificate will show the same award information as your original:

your name
your programme of study
your classification
the award date.

If you need a breakdown of your marks and modules, you can apply for a transcript.

How to apply for a replacement degree certificate

All graduates can apply and pay for a replacement certificate online (except graduates from Leeds Trinity).

Delivery of your replacement certificate

You can have your replacement certificate sent by standard post with free delivery.

We will send your certificate by first-class post if you live in the UK or by standard airmail if you are overseas.

When you order your certificate you can also choose to pay for DHL delivery.

Get a certified copy of your degree certificate

You will need your original degree certificate to get a certified copy.

If you lost your certificate, you’ll need to request a replacement before you can get a certified copy.

We cannot certify transcripts of your modules and marks, but you can apply for a copy of your transcript.

How to apply for a copy of your degree certificate

All graduates can apply and pay for certified degree certificate copies online (except graduates from Leeds Trinity).

Delivery of your certificate copy

Within 14 days of paying you'll need to email or post us a scan or photocopy of your original certificate.

We’ll stamp your copies and send them back within five working days.

If we don’t receive your copy within 14 days, we will cancel your request and refund your fee.
