School of Media and Communication
This page shows the allocation of graduation ceremonies for the School of Media and Communication.
Page updated on 20 March 2024
For schools with more than one ceremony, graduates are allocated across the ceremonies based on the capacity of the venue. Check carefully on this page for the date and time of your ceremony. It is not usually possible to switch to an alternative date and time if you are unable to attend, but there are other options when you register your graduation choice.

What are my options if I can’t attend the ceremony?
You must register your graduation choice, even if you can’t attend. If you are not available on the date and time for your ceremony, you have the option to choose a later graduation session to attend (usually the next December or July). Depending on the time of year there may also be the option to join a Virtual Graduation instead. Alternatively, you have the option not to attend any Graduation.
If the Graduation ceremony cannot take place, if it is delayed or the ceremony date/time needs to change due to circumstances beyond our control the University of Leeds will not be liable for any losses direct or otherwise incurred by the graduands or their guests.
Circumstances beyond our control can include fire, explosion, terrorist act (or threat of terrorist act), act of God, pandemic, national mourning (any member of the royal family), or as a result of any industrial action or dispute involving the University of Leeds.
