Disability Services Panel

Are you a disabled student or researcher? Would you like to influence the work of Disability Services? Join our Student Panel!

The Disability Services panel is a joint group of staff, researchers and students. Our panel members give us valuable feedback on our provision to help us improve, as well as generating their own ideas about new projects and developments.

Our Panel is chaired by students with the student voice at the heart of our work. It’s a great opportunity to develop skills in leadership, negotiation, diplomacy, writing – and much more.

Things our Panel has achieved:

✔ Creating an introductory video for Disability Services - including scripting, directing and filming
✔ Starting a newsletter for all things disability across campus to improve our communication
✔ Helping our Service to improve its resources for disabled students funding
✔ Taking part in workshops to learn more about assistive technology.

Would you like to be involved?

Applications for 2022/23 have now closed. Please check back in September 2023 to find out about joining next year’s Panel.

The Disability Services student newsletter

Members of our Student Panel also help to produce our student newsletter. Going out twice a year, the newsletter includes information on news, events and all things disability across campus.

Do you have something to share with disabled students in our newsletter? Or an idea for content? Let us know.
