Disability Services Panel

We’re looking for passionate, motivated and engaged disabled students from across the University to join this year’s Disability Services Student Panel.

Whether you’ve just joined us at Leeds, are midway through your studies, or are a postgraduate researcher or an international student, we want to hear from you.

Our Panel puts the student voice at the heart of our work. As a Panel member, you’ll have the chance to give us feedback on your experiences of disability support at Leeds.

You will contribute your ideas to our communications with students and applicants and learn more about how Disability Services operates to support students like you.

Why you should apply:

  • Have your say! Give us valuable feedback on how we’re doing as a Service and help us improve the information we share with you.

  • Build a community: Meet other disabled students across the University who share your commitment.

  • Feedback across campus: Hear from a range of staff across the University, including Careers, Widening Participation and IT, and get involved in their projects to improve provision for disabled students.

  • Skill Development: Panel participation offers valuable skills development opportunities, such as public speaking, negotiation, and teamwork.

  • Get behind the scenes: Our Panel gives you the chance to learn about disability support from the inside – including its limitations and hurdles.

  • CV Building: Add us to your CV. Panel membership demonstrates your commitment to disability advocacy, community engagement, and leadership.

Panel duties include:

  • A willingness to engage in discussions, share ideas and give feedback.
  • A commitment to attend as many Panel meetings as possible throughout the year.
