Wellbeing support
Support from the Student Wellbeing Service
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, experiencing personal or mental health concerns, or need someone to talk to, we’re here to help. You don’t need to know exactly what support you need before reaching out, or go through anything alone.
To get support from the Student Wellbeing Service complete the self-referral form. We’ll invite you to an initial appointment to talk about what’s been happening and explore options that may be helpful for you. Appointments typically last between 30 and 50 minutes.
Depending on your circumstances, support may include:
- therapeutic groups and workshops
- wellbeing resources and self-help tools
- short-term wellbeing, mental health or counselling support, tailored to your individual needs
- signposting to specialist support within the University or external services.
If ongoing support is recommended following your initial appointment, there may be a waiting period before regular appointments begin. While you’re waiting, we’ll help you explore other sources of support.
