How to check in to a teaching session on campus
We want you to get the best out of your time at University. We know that your academic success is directly linked to making the most of your learning opportunities.
The University has a strategy to support student retention, performance, and success – the more we know about attendance, the more we can support you to get the most out of your time at Leeds. If you consistently don’t check in, our academic and pastoral support team will contact you to discuss how this is impacting on your wellbeing and progress and whether we can provide any support.
Check-in on campus
There are check-in posters in all of our teaching rooms on campus. You can check-in using the UniLeeds app. Remember you’ll need to open the UniLeeds App first – it won’t work if you try and scan the QR code using your phone camera. If there isn’t a poster in your room or it is damaged, you can use the web check-in form leeds.ac.uk/webcheckin by 11pm on the day of your session. Please notify us which room was affected by contacting sopam@leeds.ac.uk
You can check in 10 minutes before the session starts, any time during the session and ten minutes afterwards. You can use the web check-in leeds.ac.uk/webcheckin by 11pm on the day of your session.
How to use the UniLeeds app to check-in
You check-in to each session using the UniLeeds App. You can download the UniLeeds app from the App/Play store on your phone. Make sure you’re logged in to your app when you check in. It doesn’t matter whether you’re using Eduroam (Uni wifi) or your mobile data.
1. Open the app
2. Click on the Check-in tile and select ‘Scan here’ to scan the QR code poster located in each teaching space (you will need to enable the app to access your phone camera).
The app will remember 28 days of QR check-ins. Note, it won’t remember any check-ins you did with the web check in form.
If you’re having problems checking in with a phone
If you’re not able to use a phone to check-in, we have created a web-based form for you to check-in for your session.
The link to the web check in is leeds.ac.uk/webcheckin
Please check in by 11pm on the day of your session.
If you don’t own a compatible device, please let us know via email at sopam@leeds.ac.uk so we can consider what support you might need.
Watch a video showing you how to check in using the UniLeeds app.
