Support for pregnant students
We offer a wide range of support for pregnant students, whatever your circumstances.
There are services on-campus and externally that can support your health, wellbeing and any impact on your studies or living arrangements, whether you are pregnant or terminating a pregnancy.
Campus support
You can get advice, information and practical support on campus:
- Leeds University Union (LUU): you can get online and face-to-face advice from the Help and Support team and provision of a range of practical and financial support.
- Accommodation Services: the Accommodation team can help you find family accommodation in Leeds.
- University Financial Assistance Fund: if you are experiencing unexpected financial difficulties, the fund can help with living costs.
- Lifelong Learning Centre: you can contact the LLC for information on support available for student parents.
- Student Wellbeing and Counselling: find out about free and confidential emotional and psychological support.
- Universities' Chaplaincy in Leeds: the chaplaincy support and guidance is for anyone who needs someone independent and confidential to talk to.
- International Student Office: support for international students, including advice on whether having a baby will affect your visa.
- Bright Beginnings: on-campus nursery for children aged between three months and five years, for student and staff members at the University of Leeds.
- Leeds Student Medical Practice: a student-friendly GP practice.
