Airport pick-up service
When you have booked your travel, make sure you tell us your date and time of arrival and book your free airport pick-up.
To support your smooth arrival in Leeds, the University offers a free airport pick-up service for new international students and postgraduate researchers.
This service is available from Leeds Bradford Airport and Manchester Airport to our University campus. If you are arriving in Leeds for the first time, we encourage you to use this service.

Before booking
To complete the airport pick-up booking form you will need:
- your accommodation address on arrival
- your flight number
- a valid student ID number
- the number of suitcases you’ll bring. You can bring a maximum of two large suitcases and one small suitcase on our transports.
Make sure you have these details ready before you complete our international arrivals booking form.
When and how to book your airport pick-up
The airport pick-up service is offered at key arrival times. Please make sure you book your transport at least five days before you plan to arrive.
New postgraduate researchers
If you’re a new international postgraduate researcher, we can arrange airport-pick up for you when your programme starts at any time during the year.
Please email the International Welcome team at internationalwelcome@leeds.ac.uk to request your transport at least five days before you plan to arrive.
New students arriving in the summer
If you’re a Leeds International Summer School student, or a student starting on a pre-sessional language course, our airport pick-up service will be available from Saturday 28 June to Friday 1 August 2025.
The Leeds International Summer School or Language Centre team will contact you directly with more information on how to book the airport pick-up service.

New students arriving in autum
Our airport pick-up service for new international students and postgraduate researchers will run from Wednesday 10 September to Sunday 28 September 2025.
The link to the airport pick-up arrivals booking form will be available from the end of June.
After you’ve booked your airport pick-up
We’ll contact you to confirm the details of your transport at least two days before you arrive.
The confirmation will include details of who to contact in case you have any problems on your journey, including if you need to change any arrival information relating to your airport pick-up booking, such as updating your flight or accommodation details.
