You can pay your tuition and accommodation fees by card or bank transfer.
How to pay
The University of Leeds has officially partnered with Flywire to accept payments from over 240 countries and territories.
Pay in more than 140 currencies with a best price guarantee, track your payment and access support in many languages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Online payments
You have a choice of payment options:
- Pay through our secure payment system using Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay.
- Pay through our secure Flywire payment portal using AliPay, WeChat or Paypal.
UK or International bank transfer
Pay securely through through Flywire in your local currency (including GBP).
We don’t accept direct bank transfers into the University of Leeds account.
Safety advice
- Do not use third party agents or companies outside of Flywire to transfer payments to the University of Leeds as this will likely cause the payment to be rejected and increase your risk of being exposed to financial crime.
- Do not email your card details to anyone, including the University of Leeds.

What to do when someone else is paying for you
If someone else (a third party) is paying your tuition or accommodation fees, they can contact us on your behalf.
With your PIN number
They can access your account information online or by phone with your PIN and student ID numbers.
Without your PIN number
If they don’t have your PIN number, they can give your name, student ID number and date of birth to:
- Set up an instalment plan
- Make a payment
We won’t be able to give them information about your fees. You’ll need to tell them how much they should pay and the instalment dates (if they pay by instalments).
How to access your PIN number
When you register, your PIN number is sent to your University of Leeds email address.
You can access and change your PIN in through Student Services on Minerva.
Anti-money laundering and sanctioned countries
As an institution, we’re committed to preventing money laundering and complying with all applicable financial, trade and other sanctions.
We take the responsibility of ensuring that our business is not used for the purposes of money laundering seriously and are committed to best practices in this area.
The University must adhere to banking regulations in relation to transactions with certain countries/regions. We may be unable to accept payment from Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine or Venezuela. We will undertake enhanced screening and due diligence on any such requests. If you are due a refund from the University, processing restrictions will also apply to those transactions.
