Family-friendly campus
The University of Leeds is one of the biggest campus universities in the UK and provides lots of facilities that families and parents can use.
Access around campus
Lots of the routes around campus are accessible for parents with buggies and pushchairs (or those with disabilities) and are signposted on the green and white signposts. The University’s campus map can help you find a route around campus.
There is a North-South Access Route that lets you get across campus without needing to go up and down steps. You might find routes inside buildings may be closed outside of the University’s main opening hours so you will need to arrange a key if you need access to the buildings.
Nappy changing
Buildings which have nappy changing facilities can be found on the campus map. These include:
- Parkinson Building: Room B.35 (women’s toilet)
- Old Mining Building: Room 1.02
- Leeds Dental Institute, Clarendon Way: Room 5.070
- Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building: outside the cafe (unisex toilet) on Level 10
- Leeds University Union: in the women’s toilets near reception (ground floor), the women’s toilet in the Old Bar (basement) and in the unisex toilet in the Mine Bar (basement).
