HEAR, and the diploma supplement and transcript
The Leeds for Life Higher Education Achievement Record is a summary of your achievements provided by the University when you graduate.
The Leeds for Life HEAR enables you to present a rounded picture of your achievements to potential employers, and can also help you to demonstrate the full range of your interests and skills.
Your higher education achievement record or diploma supplement and transcript are important documents and must be kept safe. We will charge you for any replacement should you lose them.
About the diploma supplement and transcript
The diploma supplement issued by the University of Leeds follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES.
The purpose of the supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve "international transparency", and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications such as diplomas, degrees and certificates.
The supplement is designed to provide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of studies that a student pursued and successfully completed in the original qualification.
What's included in the Leeds for Life HEAR?
The academic transcript
The Leeds for Life HEAR includes your academic transcript. It gives details of the modules that you took during your degree programme, the number of credits associated with each module, and the marks that you achieved. The academic transcript also provides a note on whether you undertook a year in industry or period of study abroad.
University validated prizes and achievements
This part consists of a record of any University validated prizes or achievements you may have accrued (for example being an elected officer of a student society, being a school representative, or having been awarded funding through the Leeds for Life Foundation).
The aim is to ensure that significant achievements likely to be of interest to potential employers are automatically included.
