Holiday opening hours and support

Find out more about support, activities and opportunities to connect with others and have fun during the spring break!

The University will be closed from Thursday 28 March – Tuesday 2 April, re-opening on Wednesday 3 April.

Friday 29 March and Monday 1 April are UK bank holidays (Good Friday and Easter Monday), so many businesses and services will either be closed or have amended hours.

Some University services will be available during this time, but there may be some local services including shops and public transport  which may be closed or opening for reduced hours. Before making plans, or heading out, check holiday transport timetables/opening hours and buy food and other supplies in advance.

  • If you’re an international student on a visa who will be travelling abroad during the spring break, check our out-of-term travel and immigration advice page for important information on documents you might be asked to show at border control.

Looking for somewhere to study?

Find out the opening hours for the other libraries on campus. You can also use Spacefinder to find alternative study spaces on campus, along with their opening hours.

Looking for somewhere to pray?

Our quiet spaces, prayer facilities and faith-based support give you the chance to take a break, reflect, and connect with local faith communities. Some of the spaces are inside buildings that may be closed between Thursday 28 March – Tuesday 2 April, re-opening on Wednesday 3 April, so do plan ahead.

During Ramadan from 11 March until Sunday 14 April the Green Room will be open 24 hours every day including weekends.
