CERN: Opportunities for Students
The world’s most famous particle physics laboratory is offering internships, placements and doctoral student opportunities for students with both STEM and non-STEM related backgrounds. HUAWEI: Seeds for the Future
Huawei is offering UK undergraduates studying STEM or related disciplines the opportunity to participate in an 8 day online workshop. This is a perfect experience for students looking to gain insights into working for a dynamic global business in China. The workshop is made up of a series of online coutses where expert speakers will cover hot topics such as 5G, AI or Cloud Computing. Rise Germany offers summer research internships in Germany for undergraduate, masters and PhD students studying and researching in the fields of biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, earth sciences, engineering or a closely related field. All participants receive grants from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
RISE Germany – Research Internships for undergraduates: For the undergraduate programme, students are carefully matched with doctoral students and researchers whom they assist and who serve as their mentors which offers unique opportunities for students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of 2 to 3 months during the summer. RISE Professional – Research Internships for masters and PhD students: RISE Professional offers summer research internships of three months to masters and PhD students at companies and research instituions with strong relations to Germany. RISE Professional is funded by the German Federal Office and students will recieve a stipend from their host company/institutions in addition to the grant from DAAD to help cover living expenses.
