Learn about and log in to our standard system for recording postgraduate researchers progress throughout your studies

What is GRAD?

The Graduate Record of Achievement and Development (GRAD) is the University record keeping system for all Postgraduate Researchers.

GRAD lets you arrange:

  • Supervision meetings
  • First formal progress report
  • Transfer
  • Annual progress reports

You are also able to:

  • Upload files/ reports
  • Record training
  • Request annual leave
  • Notify your Graduate School of an authorised absence
  • Notify your Graduate School of a change of study location

The former record keeping system, the Postgraduate Development Record (PDR), will remain accessible, on a read-only basis, so no records currently stored in the PDR will be lost. These can be accessed via a link to the PDR via GRAD.

GRAD is intuitive and easy to use, but support can be found within the system itself if anything is not clear.  Just click on the heading ‘Guides’ on the left-hand menu when you enter the system.

If you have any problems using the system, please contact your Graduate School, who will be able to help

If you have any technical issues please contact the IT Helpdesk in the first instance
