Welcome hub
New to Leeds? Whether you're coming from across the world or just around the corner, come and see us in the Welcome Hub! Ask questions and get information and help with Registration and IT support to help you start settling in Leeds.
Remember the iconic Parkinson Building you’ve seen in University brochures for so long? That’s where you’ll find us!
Visit the Welcome Hub in Parkinson Court from Monday 16 September until Friday 1 November.
The hub is more than finding information; it's about finding your place. Visit us to:
-
Get answers to questions
-
Attend appointments to collect Student Identification Cards and Biometric Residence Permits
-
Seek out support with IT
-
Connect with current and new students
It can get busy in the hub so if a busy place is not for you, we’ll have a quieter space where you can make the most of your Welcome experience away from the crowds.
What is in the Hub?
Student Information Point
Get practical help to you get started. Struggling with registration or have question about module enrolment? Want to find out more about your school induction or international orientation?
Speak to our Student Information Service team and they’ll give you the answers you need.
Too busy to ask in the Welcome Hub? With our other information points around campus, you can speak to a member of the Student Information Service team in person or contact them by email or phone in your own time.

If you need help getting started with IT, our knowledgeable ambassadors will be on hand to help you. They can guide you through setting up your IT account, connecting to Eduroam, downloading software and more.
Quiet space
We know that busy places and events can be overwhelming for some of us. We’ll have ways to ensure you get the information you need away from the crowds.
The quiet space is located inside the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery on these days:
Tuesday 24 until Friday 27 September, 10:00 – 16:30
Student Documents and Visa Team
If you are a new student you will need to collect your new student card on campus. After you have submitted your online identity check, and the staff at the University have completed their checks, you will be sent an email with instructions of how to collect your student card.
The student card is not a requirement for completing registration, but you have the option of booking an appointment to collect one.
If you are an international student and need to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) from the University, your appointment will cover both student card and BRP collection.
Galleries
For more creative and quiet moments, why not take time out to explore the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery and the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery, both alongside the Welcome Hub in Parkinson Court?
