Your school induction
To help you settle in to the start of term, your school may contact you with specific information you’ll need to know.
There may be specific arrangements for your school during the welcome period. Schools may do this differently to each other – so keep checking your University inbox and reading your emails. Remember to regularly look in the ‘other’ folder, or any clutter or junk folders – it’s easy to miss emails and newsletters.
Your school may use other ways to tell you information, such as Minerva or social media.

International Welcome
If you are coming to Leeds from outside the UK, you’ll find useful travel and arrival information on our Prepare for Leeds webpages.
When you arrive, check the Your first weeks in Leeds webpages to find out more about start-up processes to complete and our International Orientation programme. The programme offers in-person talks and workshops, online webinars, campus and city tours and social events to help you settle into life at Leeds.

International Welcome services are for students of any fee status who are arriving from outside the UK for the first time.
Study Abroad and Exchange Students
If you are a study abroad or exchange student joining us in September for a single semester or a full year, join our International Orientation programme, which includes our Welcome to Leeds talk.
You will also receive an induction to Leeds at School-level. Check your School welcome page for more information or get in touch with your School if you have any more question.
