Community policies
We are all responsible for ensuring Leeds is a place where everyone feels they belong, and everyone is expected to uphold our values of collaboration, compassion, inclusivity and integrity.
The Leeds Partnership sets out what all members of the University community can expect from one another.
We expect all students to:
- behave in a professional and responsible manner, with respect for all staff and students
- have respect for University property, the property of others, and everyone’s safety on campus
- not to participate in, or condone, any act of harassment, bullying or victimisation
- not to participate in, or condone, any behaviour that may interfere with the work of the University or bring the University into disrepute
- modify their behaviour if they become aware that it is unacceptable
Where students or staff are in breach of these standards of behaviour, you can make a complaint about them under the Student Complaints Procedure. For students, we may decide to take action under the General University Disciplinary Regulations.
If you want to make a formal complaint about another student or staff member, you can do so through the Student Complaints procedure.
Complaints involving sexual violence, abuse, harassment, hate crime, bullying and discrimination are made under the University’s policy on dignity and mutual respect [PDF].
