University services

Student Information Service

The Student Information Service can help you with a wide range of topics such as registration, fees and funding, disability support, or just general information. The team is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Student Counselling and Wellbeing

Student Counselling and Wellbeing offer free professional and confidential counselling and wellbeing and mental health support through groups, workshops, single-session consultations, short-term counselling and web-based services and resources such as Togetherall.  

Disability Services

Our Disability Services provide support to both current and prospective disabled students at the university. Find details on the type of support they offer and how to contact the Disability Services

Study and research support

There is a wide range of study and research support available through Skills@Library and Researcher@Library. Find more details on the University of Leeds library website.

Report and Support

If you have experienced or witnessed an incident of concern, you can tell us that something has happened through our online disclosure forms. The Harassment and Misconduct Team are the University’s specialist, experienced advisors who can talk through your options including support that is available. 

Faith-based support

The Universities Chaplaincy team, the Muslim Student Adviser, and Jewish Chaplaincy listen and offer pastoral and spiritual support. They also help with group activities such as reflection, unity events and vigils.

LUU also have a number of student faith societies that provide friendship, support and activities for students who have faith as an important part of their life, or who are interested in spirituality. Find more details on faith clubs and societies.

Our Student Visa Advisers are the only people on campus who can give advice to students about visas and immigration.

International student advice and support

Our Student Information Service can answer any questions about being a student from outside the UK and can also help you to access other advice and support for international students.

Your school

If you have questions about your programme of study, about your school or need to talk about a situation that is affecting your studies, contact your school student support team

Your academic personal tutor or supervisor

Your academic personal tutor is an important contact and will play a crucial role throughout your time at university and beyond. They will help you make the most of your time at Leeds and provide academic and pastoral support, referring you to further support as appropriate. Your school representative

If you have a problem with your course or school or an idea about how to improve the student experience, you can speak to your school representative. Your representative can advise you who to talk to and can help you raise your issue with relevant staff members. You can find out who your school representative is on the Leeds University Union website.

Leeds University Union Support 

LUU Help and Support team

The student union’s Help and Support team provide help with any problems relating to life as a student. This includes general advice, help with personal, financial and academic issues, advice on group support and solidarity activity, and support for students experiencing harassment or a hate incident. All help is free and confidential and the service is independent of the University. IT service desk

Please note, IT cannot provide loan laptops, if you have any difficulties accessing the online or digital aspects of your learning please contact your academic personal tutor or your student support office.
