Clubs and Societies Membership Fund

The Clubs and Societies Membership Fund exists to help Plus Programme students access the full range of Clubs and Societies at Leeds University Union.

LUU Clubs & Societies Associated Costs Fund – Update 23 Sept 2024 – Open now.

The LUU Clubs & Societies Fund runs on a limited budget each academic year, and in 2023/24 we saw a record number of applications. Therefore the fund may close at another point in the year, we will update these webpages if this happens. 

You can apply to have some of the membership fee for clubs and societies reimbursed. You will be required to pay the first £15 of a membership fee, then any remaining fees over £15 will be reimbursed. E.g. if your membership is £40, a successful application will result in £25 being reimbursed to you

Eligibility Criteria:

• You must be registered on the Plus Programme, or eligible to join. For those not currently registered, you can find info on how to apply for membership here.
• The membership fee for the club or society must be over £15
• The membership fee must be for a one year period only (if your club or society does not offer one year membership, a longer membership is permitted)

Applying

Before you apply, please read through the Clubs & Societies Membership Fund Guidance document, which contains eligibility criteria, the application process, evidence requirements and FAQs.

You must then complete the online application form, which will be reviewed as quickly as possible.
