National student survey (NSS)
The National Student Survey is an independent annual UK survey of final year undergraduates. It’s now open for you to complete, takes about 10 minutes to do, and there’s a chance to win some brilliant Leeds prizes just by taking part.
Why we’re asking you to be involved
Whether your time at the University of Leeds has been great, or you think some of it could have been better, your feedback counts. The National Student Survey (NSS) is your chance to give your honest views about your course, to help us make improvements and help other students like you to decide whether Leeds is the right choice for them.
Can filling out a survey really make a difference? Absolutely. Thanks to previous responses from students like you, we have made changes based on NSS results, e.g. extended library hours, better access to personal tutors, invested in more PCs on campus.
How can I fill it in?
There are two ways:
- Ipsos will contact you initially by email to invite you to take part. (Check your Other folder in case the email is in there!)
- The NSS website. Note: the survey closes on 30 April 2025. You won’t be able to fill it in after this date!

We're giving away £2,125 worth of vouchers to 52 of our students who complete the survey, including:

- 5 x £100 vouchers
- 45 x £25 vouchers

Winners will be contacted via email by midnight on Friday 30 May, and the results of the prize draw will also be made available on the For Students website on the same day.
