Meet other parents
Meeting other student parents and their children is a great way to make new friends, and an opportunity to offer one another mutual support and take part in family-friendly social activities.
There are several places you could meet student parents online:
By joining the Student Parents Group on the Portal you could:
- email other student parents
- take part in group discussions
- share experiences, information and ideas
(click Groups in the top left-hand corner, then Groups Index, Student Support, then Student Parents).
Meet in person
There's also a number of other ways you can meet other student parents in person:
- Student Parents' Society at Leeds University Union
- Lifelong Learning Centre
- Stay and Play at our nursery, Bright Beginnings.
We run events for partners and families throughout the year. Coffee Connections is one of our Global Community social activities for the partners of students and staff.
For the opportunity to get together regularly, meet new people and share information and ideas about how to make the most of living in Leeds, come and join us from 12pm to 2pm on the following dates:

- Thursday 27 April 2017
These events are held in the Student Common Room, Level 12, Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building
Tea, coffee and cake is available and children are welcome to attend too.
