Programmes in Europe
Toulouse Business School, France (and Slovenia)
This programme between Toulouse Business School and Ljubljana Faculty of Economics offers a unique opportunity to undergraduate students to do one summer school (three weeks) in Toulouse or a combined summer school (six weeks) in both Toulouse and Ljubljana or Toulouse and Barcelona.
The programme offers you the opportunity to discover France, Spain and/or Slovenia and their culture and business environments by studying, visiting companies and businesses, as well as taking part in cultural and social events. Read more on the Toulouse Business School summer school webpages.
Université Catholique de Lille, France
Located in northern France, Lille is ideally placed at a crossroads of Europe, with quick access by train to the capital cities of Paris, Brussels, and London. The European Summer Program is designed for international students looking for a short study abroad experience in Europe. There are two sessions on offer throughout the summer, with courses in and across various disciplines. A comprehensive hospitality package is included, as well as cultural activities, such as French film nights and day trips to Bruges and Brussels.
In addition to the varied Arts, Social Sciences, and Business program, and the popular Science and Engineering program, a Graduate Law program is now offered focused on transatlantic comparative law, and an undergraduate "French Only" Arts program, with all components taught in French. Université Paris Diderot, France
Situated in the heart of Paris, Université Paris Diderot is a leading multidisciplinary university in France. The Summer School at Paris Diderot is a French language and culture programme running for three weeks. The programme includes three hours of French language tuition each morning and the afternoons are made up of tours and visits to various attractions and sights in Paris. Also included in the programme are two visits to other destinations in France. Students with all levels of French are welcome to apply, including complete beginners. Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, France
This six-week comprehensive programme includes 35 hours of French language and 35 hours of French culture. As part of the programme, students will also have the opportunity to take part in a two-day excursion to the Mediterranean. For more information, please see the programme brochure.
Europe in the XXI Century Summer Programme, LUISS & Université Paris-Dauphine
For three weeks each summer, LUISS and Université Paris-Dauphine offer a joint Summer Programme on Europe: "Europe in the XXI Century". The first week students will study in Rome and classes during the second and third weeks will take place in Paris. The programme includes two field trips to EU institutions in Strasbourg and Brussels. The programme is designed to combine top-class lectures with exciting cultural activities and visits to European institutions. Students have the unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the EU and to experience European lifestyles in two EU founding countries, two countries with a very rich and unique culture. The programme is open to students who have completed at least two years of a Bachelor Degree. There are special discounts available for students who come from partner universities. Università di Bologna, Italy
The University of Bologna was founded in 1088 and is the oldest university in the world. The University offers an Italian Language and Culture Summer School and students interested in applying can choose from three different course-options, where tuition in class is combined with an afternoon programme of cultural trips and activities: a two-week intensive course for beginners; a three-week course for beginners, intermediate and advanced; a combination of both courses, for a total duration of five weeks. Universität Bonn, Germany
The International Summer Course runs every August and offers participants from all over the world the opportunity to learn German from beginner level to advanced level. Class sizes are small (maximum 15 participants) and excursions and activities are also included in the programme such as wine tasting, city sightseeing and a boat trip. The University of Bonn was founded in 1818 and Bonn is a famous university town. Further details can be found on the programme website.
Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany
Humboldt-Universität belongs to an elite circle of eleven German "Excellence Universities". A 50€ discount is available if you register before 15 February. If you register for two courses you can benefit from further discounts. As a student of partner university, you can receive a 10% discount off the total course fee.
All summer school students are invited to take part in the social programme that includes a selection of excursions, sports, cultural events and festivities without additional costs. TU Berlin Summer University, Germany
The TU Berlin Summer University offers international students the opportunity to travel to the German capital for up to six weeks of academic study at the Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin). Over 20 English-taught courses are on offer across cutting-edge science, technology and business subjects, including "Introduction to 3D Scanning and Printing", "CanSat: Hands-on Satellite Design", "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" and "Startup Crash Course". Academic courses are accompanied by an immersive cultural program, introducing students to the city of Berlin and encouraging international networking.

Berlin International Summer School
The Berlin School of Economics and Law offer a variety of three and four-week summer programmes taught in English that explore topics in the fields of business, business law and computational engineering. Modules on offer include 'The European Union in a Global World', 'European Business and Economics Programme', 'Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management in Germany', 'Markets and Management in Europe' and 'How Europe Works: Institutions and Law in the EU'. University of Vienna, Austria
Students from all over the world have been drawn to the programme, not only because of the outstanding academic reputation of its European Studies courses and the excellent opportunities it offers students to learn German, but also because of its location directly on the shores of one of Austrias most scenic lakes. Lake Wolfgang, in the Salzkammergut region, is bordered by dramatic peaks and the area has excellent sports and recreational facilities.

UCPH international summer programme, University of Copenhagen
University of Copenhagen offers more than 50 international summer courses this summer. The courses are at Bachelor and Master level and are open for domestic and international students. All courses take place in July or August and are taught in English. The international summer courses cover themes based on contemporary fields of research and address topics of current international trends and interests.

VU University Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The Amsterdam summer school offers courses from a wide range of fields, varying from Arts & Humanities to Human Health & Life Sciences and everything in between. They offer 3 blocks of 2-week courses. You can combine courses to create a 4 or 6-week programme. The courses are multi-disciplinary and always include excursions that are related to the course content. The tuition fees vary depending on the courses you choose. As VU University is a partner university of the University of Leeds you are entitled to a €250 discount off the tuition fee.

Radboud Summer School, Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands
The Summer School takes place every August and is two weeks in duration. You will have the opportunity to boost your knowledge by choosing courses from a unique range of academic programmes and you can participate in a range of exciting social activities. There is a wide range of courses on offer in the fields of Arts & Languages, Brains & Behaviour, Business & Economics, Health Care, History & Politics, Philosophy & Religion, Science and Social Sciences. All courses are taught in English. You can follow courses for either one or two weeks in a wide range of fields and take part in a special social programme. If you apply before 1 April, Leeds students benefit from a 25% discount, as Leeds is a partner University with Radboud.

Summer University of Hungarian Language and Culture, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest
This Summer University is four weeks in duration and brings together interested individuals from diverse geographical, cultural, and academic backgrounds for an intensive course on Hungarian language and culture in Budapest. The multicultural and cross-age composition of the courses provides students with a stimulating environment full of inspiring and enriching dialogues. The programme is suitable for all levels.

Programmes in Australia and New Zealand
Screen Tools, University of Auckland
Screen Tools is a four-week course and offers students the opportunity to gain practical production experience abroad in New Zealand. It is a hands-on course designed to equip students with the skills they need for a career in film, television and digital media industries. Based on professional television industry practice, students will experience the entire screen production process from script writing to post production. At the end of the four weeks, working under the guidance of industry professionals, students will have created the pilot episode of a serial drama and developed a tool kit of skills to add to their resume.
Highlights include learning from experienced actor, director and producer John Callen (The Hobbit) and guest television industry professionals, as well as a field trip to the Hobbiton Movie Set.

California State University Monterey Bay, International Summer Program
The Summer@CSUMB International Summer Program offers an extraordinary opportunity for students from across the globe to spend four or eight weeks studying a variety of subjects alongside American students. Take classes in business, biology, sports science, visual and performing arts, environmental studies and more, while spending your days in one of the most scenic areas on the American West Cost: Monterey Bay. If you want to take advantage of the spectacular beauty of the area as well as take courses with a strong practical focus there are courses on offer which are unique to Monterey Bay in the areas of marine mammal studies and science illustration.

International summer at the George Washington University, Washington DC, USA
George Washington Summer Institutes combine applied learning to create an in-depth and practical academic experience for participants. You will have the opportunity to delve further into your area of interest, explore a new field, or enhance your professional skills. There are 650 courses to choose from and there is a wide range of recreational activities such as visits to the Congress, the Supreme Court, the Smithsonian Museums, national monuments and sporting events. The programme lasts for six weeks.

Vancouver Summer Program, University of British Columbia, Canada
The Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) is a four week academic programme offered at the University of British Columbia for cohorts of students from cooperating universities to study at their Vancouver campus. This programme provides students the opportunity to take two academic courses in various UBC faculties, while enjoying first-hand experiences in Canadian practices and culture, as well as meeting other international students from around the globe. Summer Study Abroad at McGill University, Montreal
Offering prestige, culture and fun, McGill Universitys School of Continuing Studies provides international students with unique opportunities to learn and experience something new both in and out of the classroom. Courses last three - eight weeks and vary by subject area. Courses on offer include aerospace engineering, international marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, leadership, human resources and French language. University of Alberta, Canada
This International Summer Programme will provide students with the opportunity to experience campus life at one of Canadas top universities. The programme combines professional development, interdisciplinary studies, and cross-cultural learning opportunities, with time for exploration, relaxation and fun! Three weeks in one of Canadas most energetic festival cities may inspire future study and career options and each of the three weeks will cover a different theme. Programmes in Latin America
Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico
The University of Guadalajara's summer programme is a four-week programme that includes 60 hours of Spanish language tuition, 20 hours of workshops and 20 hours of history and Mexican culture. The programme offers students the opportunity to spend three weeks in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara and one week near the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. A range of language levels are accepted, including beginners (applicants sit a placement test as part of registration). More information can be found on Guadalajara's website.
Universidad de San Andrés, Buenos Aires
Held in the Universidad de San Andrés facility downtown, this four-week programme is oriented to students who want to improve their Spanish while enjoying the culture and dynamism offered by Buenos Aires, recently ranked by QS as the top city in Latin America for students. The programme curriculum is complemented with frequent excursions and activities aimed at experiencing the living language of porteños (residents of Buenos Aires). Programmes in Asia
Waseda University, Japan
Waseda Summer Session is a four-week programme during which you can take part in a variety of courses including business, culture, history, and politics in the context of Japan and Asia. The courses are taught in English by experienced faculty members from Waseda and visiting professors from partner institutions. Japanese classes are also available.

Short Stay Summer Programme, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies
This three-week intensive program is aimed at learners of the Japanese language who are currently enrolled at a partner university of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Two courses are on offer Business Japanese and General Japanese. Both courses are designed to be practical, providing the learners hands-on exposure to everyday Japanese language in Japanese education, culture, and society. Classes will be divided according to the Japanese language proficiency of the participants and each class will consist of a small number of participants 12 or less. General Japanese includes off-campus activities focusing on Japanese culture experience while Business Japanese includes a visitation to leading companies in Japan. With the cooperation from TUFS International Student Support Association, on-campus Japanese culture experience - tea ceremony, Yukata try-on, flower arrangement, calligraphy and interacting opportunities with Japanese students at TUFS will also be offered. Summer Intensive Programme at Nagoya University, Japan
The summer programme at Nagoya University will focus on is the latest advanced technology and tasks in automobile engineering. The programme is particularly suitable for engineering students and offers students the chance to further supplement their practical know-how with enrichment as they are exposed to the authentic environment of the automobile factory and research centre. International Summer Institute, Seoul National University, Korea
The International Summer Institute at Seoul National University (SNU ISI) offers an exceptional opportunity for students to study at Korea's most prestigious university and one of the leading universities in the world. ISI offers an intensive six-week summer programme led by distinguished SNU and international faculty. Summer Undergraduate Research Programme, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
CUHK offers a Summer Undergraduate Research Programme (SURP), which enables students from a wide range of academic disciplines to develop research skills and knowledge in a specific area of interest, join a world-class research team and build networks with leading experts in the field. Students participating in SURP will conduct a research project under the supervision of a CUHK faculty member for 8 or 10 weeks. This year 80 research projects will be offered in various academic disciplines, including Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and Social Science.
Students who secure a place on SURP will not be charged a tuition fee. Participants just have to pay an administrative fee and accommodation fee. Apart from the academic aspect, the programme also offers orientation and cultural activities. More information is available on the programme website.
Hong Kong University Summer Institute, Hong Kong
HKU Summer Institute offers a wide range of programmes from different faculties and is best suited for students who are looking to expand their academic and cultural horizons during summer in one of the most vibrant cities in Asia. The HKU Summer Institute offers more than 30 programmes in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Business and Economics and Science. These programmes are not limited to lectures from acclaimed HKU professors and prestigious scholars, but are also provided in the form of workshops, site visits, field trips and case discussions. Business, Innovation and Society in Asia, Singapore Management University
This is a four week intensive Asian-focused programme where students worldwide will have the opportunity to combine high quality academic learning and transformative cultural experiences in Singapore. With an overarching theme of Business, Innovation and Society in Asia, students can choose one or two courses of their preference in any of the three aspects of study: business, innovation and culture. Participants are also able to attend networking sessions with leading industry experts, as well as participate in organized cultural visits & social activities. National University of Singapore
FASStrack Asia comprises courses from the Facultys Asian Studies Division, Humanities Division and the Social Sciences Division. The courses takes place in June and July and the dates vary according to the courses chosen. Courses are focused on Asia, and some of these courses feature an extended field trip to a different country within Asia. Relevant Asian language courses will also be offered that will complement the field trips for a comprehensive learning experience and in-depth cultural immersion.
You can take up to two courses, including one that offers an extended overseas field trip. Other courses may also offer local day trips in Singapore or to nearby overseas locations over the weekend in order to facilitate experiential learning outside the classroom. - The University of Cape Town Global Academy is an inclusive short term programme.
