The virtual campus tour and self-guided campus tour are available if you can’t make it to any of our guided tours.

Muslim faith tours are hosted by Muslim student advisors and Islamic Society committee members. Find out about prayer spaces, discover where to find halal food, useful shops and places, and learn about different student societies to help connect with your community.

Muslim faith tours are available on five dates between Tuesday 16 and Friday 26 September.

Work as a team exploring landmarks all over Leeds City Centre in this fun, fast-paced scavenger hunt adventure and submit photos to try and win the prize!

City Chase will run on eight dates between Tuesday 16 and Sunday 28 September.

Our Welcome marquee will be open throughout September and October, hosting headline events including ResFest, the Leeds University Union Welcome Fair, Culture at Leeds Fair, Global Opportunities Fair, Unipol Wellbeing Roadshow and many more drop in events. 

International orientation takes place on campus and online from Monday 15 September to Friday 19 September. You can join webinars, talks, workshops, tours and social events to help you feel at home and meet new people.

From Monday 22 September you’ll still be able to take part in talks and activities during Welcome Week.

Welcome Week runs both on campus and online from Monday 22 September to Sunday 28 September. It’s a week filled with a variety of events and activities designed to welcome all new students to the University of Leeds.

If you’re an international student, you can still join International orientation webinars, talks, workshops, tours and social events this week.

Global Café runs every day during International orientation and Welcome Week. Enjoy free tea, coffee and biscuits while meeting new and current students at this relaxed event.

Get involved in our interactive Welcome 2025 student voice pop up event.  

Share your thoughts on your Welcome experience, through a range of creative activities and spin the wheel. Prizes include gift vouchers, iconic University of Leeds merchandise and tasty snacks.  

The Student Welcome Team’s photography competition is open to all, whether you’re starting University for the first time, or returning for another year.

Capture moments that define your student journey and your experience of Autumn Welcome 2025: new friendships, campus life, moving into your new accommodation, your favourite study spaces or coffee spots, of course, your favourite wildlife on campus.

Within the theme of Autumn Welcome, there are four categories for you to enter:

• Funniest – bring the comedy
• Most artistic – For the most jaw dropping snapshot
• Most relatable – For the photograph that best captures what it’s like to be a University of Leeds student
• Fluffiest – For the fluffiest, most adorable animal friend you’ve made on campus!

Showcase your creativity and win a University of Leeds branded tote bag, loaded with branded merch, including your very own Keep Cup, a University of Leeds metal pin badge and branded stationery.

You may upload up to three photos and all photos must be taken by you.

Deadline: Midnight 31 October 2025.
