The disruption affects some teaching and facilities across campus and follows a suspected externally sourced power surge on the electricity grid.
Emergency services attended the Engineering building after reports of smoke and a temporary loss of power. There were no reported injuries or ongoing safety concerns.
Parts of the Engineering building and the Worsley Building have been affected, and other buildings may also experience disruption while investigations and repairs continue.
If you’re travelling to campus for teaching, please check your timetable before you leave and again throughout the day, as arrangements may change at short notice.
