Carys Corkhill is a Harassment and Misconduct Advisor in the Harassment and Misconduct team.
She joined the University of Leeds in summer 2022 after gaining four years of experience in student support roles at other higher education institutions, including Leeds Beckett University.
As an empathetic person, Carys cares deeply about helping the students/survivors who she works with and supporting them throughout their student journey.
During appointments, she strives to empower students and create a safe space for them to explore their options after they have experienced something.
As part of her role, Carys also delivers specialist training to both students and staff, including how to respond to disclosures of sexual violence and reporting options available.
Working within the Student Education Service, Carys volunteered to become a wellbeing ambassador where she promotes and delivers wellbeing activities for staff.
Before working in higher education, Carys qualified as a secondary school modern foreign languages teacher and still loves to keep up her French and Spanish skills where possible.
