Taught postgraduate deferrals
This procedure is used when an applicant for a taught postgraduate programme requests to defer their offer.
For an applicant to obtain a deferred offer, a number of things are required:
- The applicant requests a deferral. This may be via, OLA, an email, or a phone call.
- The school decides whether they are happy for this applicant to defer and inform TP Admissions if so.
- TP Admissions check that the offer does not have an outstanding academic condition and that the applicant hasn't previously deferred.
- A new record is created for the applicant and a letter sent out.
An applicant can only defer to the subsequent recruitment term, i.e. up to one year in advance of the current recruiting term.
