Getting a clear idea of the costs will help your planning and make the study abroad process much smoother.
Calculating the costs of study abroad
Think about the costs of studying abroad before you apply. Its usually more expensive than being at Leeds, but costs can vary widely and will differ depending on your personal lifestyle and the cost of living in your host country.
Tuition fees and loans - eligibility and amounts
If you're a UK or EU student and your course includes a year studying abroad or on working placement (abroad or in the UK), your funding will change while you're away.
Applying for your student loan
You can apply for both a Maintenance Loan to help pay for living costs while studying abroad or on a work placement and a loan for the reduced Tuition Fee.
If you'll be on a work or study abroad placement in a European country, you may be eligible for an Erasmus+ grant to supplement your student loan.
Some study abroad students may be able to apply for a scholarship to help meet the costs of studying overseas.
