Explore languages and cultures
Being part of our global community of students offers fantastic opportunities to develop language skills by interacting with native speakers of many different languages on campus.
You can meet native speakers of the language you want to practise by taking part in a range of peer-to-peer language programmes. You have the chance to learn a new language or develop your existing knowledge and skills.
Language group programme
The Language Groups Programme is a great way to meet new people, teach or practise speaking and listening in a supportive group, and learn things about a language and culture you might not find in formal classes; you can either lead a group or be a participant.
This programme offers a 1-to-1 language learning opportunity for two students learning each other’s language, helping to improve your language skills while developing a better understanding of each other’s culture.
The Language Exchange allows language learners to match online with native speakers, and get in touch for conversation practice, offering practice in their own language in exchange for practice in their target language.
Languages for all
Languages for All gives you the chance to improve your practical language skills and develop your cultural awareness. It may be that you want to study a language that is completely new to you or continue a language that you've studied before
