The University has a comprehensive range of Undergraduate Research opportunities which will enable you to develop your research skills in a range of contexts to match your interests and ambitions.
LAIDLAW UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP (LAIDLAW SCHOLARSHIPS)
There are 25 annual Laidlaw Scholarships that provide funding to enable you to develop leadership and research skills through a range of personal development activities and two six week periods of project work throughout your time at Leeds.
British conference of Undergraduate research
The University of Leeds is affiliated to The British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) which promotes undergraduate research in all disciplines. The Conference meets annually every Spring in a different British university.
International conference of Undergraduate research
Led and sponsored by the University of Warwick and Monash University in partnership with The University of Leeds. The International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) is an annual, two-day academic conference. Using video-conferencing technology. Two days. Eight Countries. Five Continents.
Leeds for Life conference awards
Through generous support from the Footsteps Fund and Santander Universities there is funding available for undergraduate and postgraduate students to contribute towards the costs of attending academic conferences that will enhance knowledge and develop skills
The Beaumont Award
The University of Leeds Beaumont Award recognises research projects undertaken by undergraduate students in the areas of Biological, Environmental and Physical Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Health. This might be a Final Year Project, a research project, or related to an internship pursued at the University.
